Ramps are here! It's an exciting day. Chris and I have been down right depressed about the lack of produce available, especially in the last 2 months but spring is definitely here. Two farmers have crates of ramps for the buying. At one stand, prices are $12/lb and at the other they're sold in bunches that look to be slightly under 1/4 lb. for $2.50.
With $3.00 worth of ramps and a nice center cut pork chop from Tamarack Hollow Farm, I'm already looking forward to dinner tonight and it's only lunch time.
With ramps signaling the approach of spring, now is a good time to get in on a CSA.
