Green Almonds

We read about Green Almonds the other day on Gothamist and were intrigued. Shopping at the Fairway in Red Hook we found them for $3.98/lb. Today we were shopping at Sahadi's on Atlantic Avenue and found them for $3.50/lb. About the taste - they're juicy and almost have almost a cucumber flavor (very very mild cucumber). I like them for the jelly middle. When the green almond season is over, I'm not sure that I'll feel the same way I do about when ramp season ends but who knows.
