Chanterelle is the height of elegance in terms of cuisine, service and ambiance. I've never had a meal there that I haven't loved without reservation. It should be noted that this has been the case for more than twenty years. Chanterelle is the soul of consistency and elegance.

I used to say that this is the best restaurant at which I've dined in the United States. That's no longer the case, but it's still quite fine.

This is an astonishing dining experinece. The food is stunning, and the service is marvelous. I should go here more often considering that I live near it. The room is brilliant, the service is professional, and the cuisine is brilliant.

This is really more latter day diso than restaurant. The food is not bad, but between the loud music and general noise level, the dining experience is considerably diminished. During warm weather, one is better off eating on the sidewalk. On one occassion, I told a waiter that the food is too good for the music to this loud.

Lunch, dinner..it doesn't matter; Savoy is right on. Their cassoulet is very special.

The food is pristine, minimal and outstandingly delicious. This is clearly the art of sushi.

This may possibly be the noisest restaurant that in which I've ever dined. The food is quite interesting, but it's probably best eaten alone thus not having to have an unheard conversation with anyone.

Despite its unfortunate decor, the food is not bad, but not the most interesting or arresting. One tends to think of this restaurant without a sign as slightly pretentious with not much to back up that pretention.

I have never had a meal at Belcourt that wasn't excellent which was made better by the fact that the price is right. The chef is astonishingly creative. The brunch menu is not egg heavy and quite astonishing.

This is not a restaurant to be taken seriously. I rely on this for occassional take out or delivery. One wants to have the eggplant salad with (shudder) tofu. It's quite refreshing and sapid.

I would love to know why this restaurant has been around so long. The food is at best mediocre and the room is ridiculous. Never again.

Surprisingly good veggie, especially the soups. However, in my opinion nothing is as good as Indian veggie.
