Critic Reviews

Artichoke is the apogee of a slice place, what you hope that faux Ray’s at your corner could deliver but never will, a spot that you quietly thank your stars for when it’s in your neighborhood. - Peter Meehan

Early hype has led to long lines at this East Village pizzeria named after its specialty, a slice covered in a creamy artichoke-and-spinach spread....

go around 3 for a shorter line and try the basil and artichoke slices. bready and over-hyped but still worth trying.

Simple place to grab a slice of pizza and go. The artichoke pizza was very good. Again, nothing fancy. Just simple goodness.

I love their spinach and artichoke pizza although if you are a pizza purist you may not find it that enjoyable. I think of it more as spinach and artichoke dip slathered on a crusty piece of flatbread rather than a pizza. There Sicilian is really good too! The line can get really long so go at off peak hours- it makes a good snack when split three ways among friends. Word of caution: Eat the Spinach Artichoke right away. It is not very edible cold and doesn't reheat well.
