outstanding food and service. tripe, beef cheek ravioli, gnocchi, black spaghetti, duck and sweetbreads are superb. our server and sommelier were incredible. memorable dining experience.
I love that Babbo has maintained its "low-key" local factor. Locals will run up to Babbo in the morning and ask the infamous Caroline for a reservation. The space is small, but very italian. Phenomenol wine list, and great menu. If you can't get a reservation, try to walk in, they have 6 tables that are never reserved at the front of the restaurant.
The food was plentiful and delicious. The wine was wonderful. The Grappa was peppery. The bustling atmosphere was surprising: many would not believe such fine food would be served in such an unpretentious setting. Well done.
