Pastis and Paradou, watch your backs: Partners Remi Laba and Aymeric Clemente, a former manager at La Goulue, tapped chef Nicolas Cantrel (Bobo) to open this 90-seat...
had a reservation waited 2 hours to be seated, the manager owner was very rude about it and the food wasnt worth the wait. would recommend people skip this restaurant. there was a huge backup of people all night and alot of unhappy people.
very pretentious...would be ok if the food were worth it...as a New York City dweller, I laugh at restaurants like this...give it one year and it will be there no longer.
it is difficult to judge a restaurant on a brunch day... most of those french bistrot get very crowded and you stay and go with the flow... i just loved it.
waiters were very friendly and alive, gave me the right advices about food and wine.
they have the best elbow pasta in town!!!
i went there many times, if you want to have an amazing experience go there on a week day night. it is tasteful and very sexy... you are taken on a different place, between saint remy de Provence and the chic parisian...
keep on the good work
i just moved in New york a year ago ... Bagatelle is the unique place my girlfriends and i love to go for girls night out. cute waiters, friendly and fun. i feel like i am back to my friendly neighborhood restaurant i use to go to in st germain des pres in paris...
food is simple but very good. cant wait for thursday for another night with my girls.
i am just writing because bagatelle is not worth being criticized like that...
you do wait, like anywhere else in new york... unless well, you are about to close.
i have talked to that manager, he is quite nice once you passed that first face of him... one night he comped our dinner bc we waited for 45mn... he was so sorry and confused but the people didnt want to leave the restaurant...
anyway i just hope bagatelle will be there for a long time... new york is too boring lately, it is like a big fresh bubble of fun and good food
