Critic Reviews

The New York Times star star Critic's Pick 08/22/01

The cooking, although simplified to suit the bistro concept and even countrified on occasion, plays to Mr. Boulud's strength, his refined rusticity. - William Grimes

[The menu's] contents are generally superb. - Adam Platt

It's always interesting to see a master of high-end cuisine dress down: Here you can order a beer with dinner, and you don't have to use your quiet voice...

This modern bistro from Daniel Boulud serves very tasty and expensive French/American dervived meals. Very tight seating makes this not a place for quiet or private dining conversations. Service seems perpetually rushed.
