The New York Times star star star Critic's Pick 06/06/07

The restaurant lived up to its three stars, with consistently fresh, inventive new American dishes. - Frank Bruni

We've had Gramercy Tavern pegged as a two-star restaurant for years, but Anthony lifts it a notch. - Adam Platt

One of the top American cuisine places in Manhattan. Recent changes in kitchen have elevated it to the top rungs. Excellent service.

Fine dining at its best... the only problem was that I had to chose one dish.

Gramercy Tavern is one of those places you have to go before you die, if you can afford it. Luckily, I've been treated to a few firm dinners here. I'd rank this among the top 4 to 5 restaurants in the city that I've eaten at. Their specialty is fish, incredibly fresh, moist, and flavorful. The dessert menu I found somewhat disappointing, relatively speaking of course, but still amazing. Save some money and go.

Danny Meyer has mastered it again. No wonder this restaurant won the most prestigous award from the James Beard Association. The staff is exceptional and the food was lovely. The Tavern Room is available on a walk-in basis only and is really great. Alot of people prefer the main dining room however.
