Some restaurants grow old; others grow up. On the evidence of a recent visit, I'm inclined to put Lure Fishbar in the latter crowd. It has simplified its menu since it set sail in SoHo nearly three years ago, and it has stopped trying so hard to make waves. - Frank Bruni

Not sure what the hype is here? The food was tasty - but not over the top. A solid 3-star in a city like NYC where there are so many fabulous meal options. The wait staff was better than the food.

down a flight of stairs leads you to the perfect escape from the most annoying intersection of soho. go during happy hour to sample tasty appetizers and oysters with a glass of sauvignon blanc. good service, unique space.
