I was visiting from LA. And was invited for a drink at Rao's I was told that only a drink dinner will be impossible. Had the best Martinis you could imagine stirred not shaken. To all this I had the chance to shakes hands with Frank Pellegrino. Cannot say I met the man. I kindly asked him if it was possible for me to eat at he;s restaurant. He said very firm I will let you know. The restaurant was crowded and I patiently waited.Right before I was getting ready to leave he was having a cigarette by the door and asked me aren't you going to eat. I sat by the small table by the kitchen door. And he send me the Hostess cannot remember the gentleman's name.I placed the order for me and my friend. Best best best food I have eaten and I have visited lots of Italian restaurants. Had the best spaghetti with meatballs. The only thing I can say is you have to experience it yourself. Thank you sir you are a Gentleman.
